Christmas 2016

10:50 PM

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas this year. Hopefully  it was (for the most part) stress free and that you got to enjoy a long weekend  spent with friends, family, and loved ones. Christmas Eve day I loved spending  time with my significant others family at a Christmas party. It was filled with  lots of food and games and laughter. Afterwards, I headed to church for a  traditional evening service. Once I got home I was so wound up from the days  events that it took me forever to fall asleep. Christmas morning was nice and relaxing. My family and I opened our presents around the tree while eating  breakfast quiche (we make it every year). I received lots of great gifts that I  am very grateful for. My favorite gift that I received, I think, is a bath bomb  from Lush - I'm so excited to try it! Then, we relaxed and waited for the rest of  our extended family to get there.
Once they'd arrived we ate buffet style; there was ham, kielbasa, potato  salad, cookies, snowball punch (recipe coming soon!!), deviled eggs, and tons of  other yummy food. After we had all eaten, my family exchanged  Secret  Santa  presents and then my boyfriend and I headed off to see his family where we  had even more food and more presents were exchanged. Of course all of that  eating had made us tired so we fell asleep while watching ELF on television.  Overall I had a very merry Christmas and I am glad that I  could spend it all  with family. How was your Christmas? Did you travel for the  holidays? What  was your favorite gift given/received? Do you have any Christmas traditions  with your family? I am courious to see how you all spent Christmas this year.  Leave me a comment below, I'd love to here from you!

Peanut Butter Sugar Cookies

9:04 PM

Today I decided to make a batch of cookies to get into the Christmas spirit! 🎄🎅 We only have a week or so left until then so what better way to bring in some holiday cheer than with a warm, delicious cookie recipe. The best part? They are so unbelievably easy to make!

 Ingredients :
1 cup - peanut butter (any kind will work)
  1 cup - white sugar
  1 egg
*if you want more cookies or larger ones, just double the recipe size
 Other  Supplies :
  Bowl
Mixer (or something to mix with)
  Non-stick Cookie Sheet

  Step 1: Preheat oven to 350⁰ F
Step 2: Combine peanut butter, sugar, and egg into bowl using mixing method of  your choosing.
Step 3: Make small round balls out of the dough and place evenly across cookie  sheet.
Step 4: Place cookie sheet into oven and bake for 8-10 minutes
*I decided to place a  piece of chocolate in the center of each cookie.
Step 5: Allow to cool and enjoy!
